Privacy Policy
Last updated August 27, 2026. Senior Support Guild LLC.
This Privacy Policy explains how Senior Support Guild LLC (“Senior Support Guild,” “the Guild,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with https://seniorsupportguild.com and our related accounts, community pages, forms, telephone numbers, and communications (collectively, the “Site”). It should be read together with our Terms of Use & Disclosures. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy.
1. Who we are
Senior Support Guild operates a public community where older adults and their families ask questions and receive answers from independent professionals whose licenses we check, and a marketing, information, matching, and referral service that attempts to connect consumers with one or more independent third-party professionals or businesses (“Professionals” and “Partners”). We are not a healthcare provider, pharmacy, insurer, or government agency, and we are not affiliated with any government agency, Medicare, Medicaid, or CMS.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you create an account, complete a form, or contact us, we collect the information you choose to give us — your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code or general location, year of birth, household situation, whether you are on Medicare, the categories of assistance you are interested in, your preferred contact method and time, any message you send, and your consent choices.
Information you post. Questions, answers, replies, and profile details you post in the community are published on the Site and visible to anyone, including search engines. Please do not post contact details, account numbers, or medical specifics.
Please do not submit sensitive or protected information through our general forms — such as Social Security numbers, financial account or card numbers, passwords, detailed medical records or diagnoses, insurance-member ID numbers, or government-issued ID numbers. We do not request or intend to collect this information through our inquiry, account, or matching forms.
Professional credentials. If you apply as a professional member we collect your license or National Producer Number, the states you are licensed in, and the details needed to verify them. License and NPN details are used for verification only and are never displayed publicly. What the public sees is whether verification passed, and when.
Consent records. When you give permission to be contacted we record the exact wording you agreed to, its version, the date and time, the page you were on, your IP address, and your browser’s user agent. This is kept as an append-only record: withdrawing permission adds a new entry rather than erasing the old one, because the record exists to show what was true at each moment.
Partner offers. When you follow a link to a partner business from our savings page we record that a member did so, and whether it was you, so we can tell that partner how much traffic we sent them. We do not tell the partner who you are — no name, email, or phone number is passed to them, and the link itself carries nothing that identifies you. Some partners pay us a commission when a member shops with them; that never changes what we list or the order offers appear in.
Saved professionals and contact reveals. If you save a professional to your list we record who you saved, when, and any note you write. The note is private to you. When you tap to reveal a professional's phone number or email address we record that you did so, when, and your IP address — this is how we detect someone copying the directory wholesale, and how we cap it. We do not tell the professional that you looked, and revealing their details does not send them anything about you.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically collect limited technical information, such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring page, and the date and time of your visit.
3. Cookies and analytics
We set one cookie, which keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies on the Site. Our infrastructure provider keeps standard request logs. You can usually control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them will sign you out. Where required by law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).
4. How we use your information
- to operate your account, publish what you post, and show you the community;
- to review and process your request and identify potentially relevant Professionals and Partners;
- to transmit the information you submitted to a selected Professional or Partner for the purpose you requested;
- to contact you about your request and, where you have consented, about related products or services;
- to send you an occasional reminder about professionals you saved and have not contacted — at most two per saved professional, stopping as soon as you mark that you have reached out, switch the reminders off, or opt out of contact entirely;
- to limit and investigate bulk copying of our member directory;
- to tell you occasionally about discounts and offers from partner businesses, where you have not switched those emails off;
- to count how many members visited a partner business through a link on our savings page, so we can report accurate numbers to that partner;
- to verify that professional members hold current licenses, and to investigate complaints about them;
- to bill professional members and administer their subscriptions;
- to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site and our referral process;
- to detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or technical issues; and
- to comply with legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations, including maintaining records of consent.
5. How we share your information
With Professionals and Partners. When you submit a request and provide any required consent, we share the information you submitted with one or more selected Professionals or Partners so they may contact you about the products or services you requested. They are independent and use your information under their own privacy practices. We do not publish your contact details, and we do not make them available to members who have not taken your request.
Publicly. What you post in the community is public by design. Your contact details are not part of it.
With service providers. We use trusted vendors to operate the Site and our communications — hosting and infrastructure, email delivery, and payment processing for professional memberships — who process information on our behalf under appropriate obligations. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store them.
For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Guild, our users, or others.
Business transfers. If Senior Support Guild is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
“Sale” or “sharing” under state law. Because we share the information you submit with Professionals and Partners for their marketing purposes, this activity may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under certain state privacy laws. You may opt out at any time (see Sections 6 and 7).
6. Your choices
You can opt out of being contacted and ask us to add you to our internal Do-Not-Contact and suppression list at any time by:
- submitting our Do Not Contact form;
- changing your contact preferences in your account settings;
- replying STOP to a text message, or asking a caller not to contact you again;
- using any opt-out or unsubscribe mechanism we provide; or
- emailing legal@seniorsupportguild.com or calling 214-552-7810.
An opt-out applies across our own forms, our advertising, and any list we import, so you cannot be quietly re-entered. Because Professionals and Partners are independent and maintain their own lists, if one has already contacted you, you should also ask that Professional or Partner directly to stop.
Asking us to email you information is not permission to telephone you. We store those as different permissions and honor the difference.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and similar laws in other states. These may include the right to:
- know or access the personal information we hold about you;
- request correction or deletion of your personal information;
- opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information and of targeted advertising; and
- not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights.
To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@seniorsupportguild.com or 214-552-7810, or use our Do Not Contact form. We will verify your request as required by law and respond within the timeframe the law provides. You may designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf where permitted. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals we know to be under 16.
Two limits worth stating plainly. We may keep consent and opt-out records after deleting the rest of your data, because those records exist to evidence that permission was given or withdrawn. And answers you posted publicly may remain visible after your account closes, because other people’s conversations depend on them; ask us and we will remove your name from them.
8. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to operate your account, facilitate referrals, maintain records of consent and opt-outs, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal obligations, after which we take steps to delete or de-identify it.
9. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect the information we handle. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Passwords are stored using salted PBKDF2 hashing and cannot be recovered in plain text, not even by us. Sign-in sessions are stored hashed, so a copy of our database could not be replayed as a login. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. Third-party websites
The Site may link to Professional, Partner, or other third-party websites, including materials, videos, and reviews that members link from their profiles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. Your use of a third party’s website is governed by that third party’s own privacy policy.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent revision, and material changes will be communicated as required by law. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
